By merging various adjacent buildings in Deventer town one modern town hall quarter is created, that houses fifteen municipal services that previously were elsewhere in the city. Both historical and new architectural elements alternate in the new complex.
The Council Chamber in the old town hall, which is now part of the new City Hall quarters, is completely transformed to the demands of the current time. OTH Architects designed the interior and Brand Control Rooms saw to the execution of the austere and contemporary council arrangement. What makes the setup so unique is the centrally positioned debating circle.
