Every year, this fun and sporting event attracts up to 60,000 visitors to the Twente countryside, of which 40% national and international fans. More than 1,500 volunteers and employees are involved for months for the realisation of this weekend. This has made the Military in Boekelo one of the biggest outdoor sports events in the Netherlands.
The Military is a ‘Three Day Event’ where the rider completes three disciplines with the same horse: dressage, CrossCountry and jumping. The Military opened the event with the Autumn Fair featuring more than 100 stand holders: The Military Classic Night Fair. A boulevard of fashion, beauty, wellness and lifestyle. This is combined with wine & dining and musical entertainment. For our colleagues, this atmospheric evening is the annual company outing to enjoy the wonderful weekend that everyone is waiting excitedly for.
For many years, our sister company Leferink has sponsored the Military Boekelo as a token sponsor. So Leferink is to be found on the tokens and at the token desks, within the dressage arena and at the entrance to the grounds. From this year we will also be part of this sponsor agreement. As recognition of this, we will have our own obstacle in the dressage arena.
