Engie, previously GDF SUEZ, is a French multinational energy company that operates in the production, maintenance and distribution of electricity, natural gas and sustainably. It is, after takeover of the British company International Power, the largest public utility company in the world.
For the branch in Eemshaven (The Netherlands) we carried out a large part of the sizeable renovation in the control room. One challenge was the current climate control and the noise pollution and agitation caused by the continuous visitors in the area. By slightly adapting the existing cooling system, the use of LED lighting, LED monitors and by placing a partition, we managed to tackle these problems. Through the careful alignment of all elements, colour scheme, and materialisation with added tailor-made contemporary furniture, the space is now functional and representational.
