The new trend in furnishing control rooms is the introduction of decorative planting that improves the atmosphere. These spaces commonly have almost no or very little exposure to daylight. We have a wide and varied range of maintenance-free and sustainable plants: mummified plants. Through an ingenious process, developed by Hildering Groenkunst, plants are prepared naturally.

“The principle is simple”, owner Maurits Hildering explains. “In our climatic chamber, at high temperatures and humidity, we replace the moisture in the stems with an environmentally-friendly biodegradable fluid. This is followed by a drying process. This process retains the plants’ flexibility, natural shape, smell and colour. The planters are made from environmentally friendly recycled material too.

In feedback we hear from every project we complete that the introduction of plants in a control room has had a positive effect. Through following these kinds of new trends, we show the various decorative solutions that the mummified planting can offer in our all-new Experience Center in Deventer.

Why not come and take a look for yourself? There is plenty to inspire you in sustainable maintenance-free planting.
